Introly Extension — Privacy Policy

Overview

The Introly Chrome Extension (“Extension”) is a tool developed by Introly (“we”, “us”) that helps users sync their own LinkedIn network to their Introly account. This policy explains what data we access, how we use it, and how we protect it.

What Data the Extension Accesses

When you trigger a sync (manually or via scheduled auto-sync), the Extension reads only the following from your LinkedIn connections page:

• Full names of your first-degree LinkedIn connections
• LinkedIn profile URLs of your connections
• Current company name (where shown publicly in the connections list)

The Extension does NOT access: messages, private posts, email addresses, phone numbers, payment information, contact info, or any data from pages other than linkedin.com/mynetwork/*.

How the Data Is Used

The Extension sends the scraped connection list to your Introly account (authenticated via a secure token you generate on app.introly.ai). Introly uses this data solely to:

• Show you job opportunities at companies where your connections work
• Match your target roles against companies in your network
• Generate personalized network insights for your job search

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Your LinkedIn login credentials or session cookies
• Browsing history or activity on other websites
• Personal information of people who are not your direct connections
• Analytics or telemetry about your browsing behavior

Data Storage & Security

Connection data is stored in Introly's secure database (Supabase, hosted in the US) under your account only. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Only you can access your imported connections — we do not share, sell, or disclose this data to third parties.

User Consent

The Extension does not collect any data automatically. All scraping happens only when you explicitly click the “Sync” button. You must be logged into your own LinkedIn account — the Extension operates under your identity and permissions only.

Permissions Requested

The Extension requests minimal permissions, explained below:

• storage — stores your Introly authentication token and sync preferences locally
• activeTab — lets the popup read the page you're viewing (only on LinkedIn)
• tabs — opens the LinkedIn connections page when you trigger a sync from the Introly dashboard
• alarms — schedules optional daily or weekly auto-sync
• notifications — shows a system notification when a sync completes or fails
• host_permissions: linkedin.com/mynetwork/* — limits LinkedIn access to the connections page only
• host_permissions: app.introly.ai — allows sending data to your Introly account

Third-Party Services

Data is sent from the Extension directly to Introly's API. Introly uses the following third-party services as sub-processors:

• Supabase (database hosting)
• Vercel (application hosting)
• Stripe (if you purchase a subscription)

We do not share Extension data with any other third party.

Your Rights

You can:

• Delete all your imported connections from your Introly dashboard at any time
• Disconnect the Extension by clicking “Disconnect account” in the popup
• Delete your entire Introly account (which removes all associated data) from account settings
• Uninstall the Extension from chrome://extensions/ at any time

Data Retention

Imported connections are retained as long as your Introly account is active. If you delete your account, all connection data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

Relationship with LinkedIn

Introly is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn. The Extension accesses only data you are already able to see as a logged-in LinkedIn user on your own connections page. Use of the Extension must comply with LinkedIn's Terms of Service.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be announced via email to your Introly account. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance.
